I'm currently on the MSc Electronic Publishing course at City University London. After graduating next year, I'm hoping to get into web communications/editorial work in the charity or education sectors.

In this project I have been able to bring together the two loves of my life: words and positive people. When I was a kid I had problems at school as I couldn't speak English for a while. I took strength from each word I learned. Each one of them helping me to verbalise my self.

I studied literature at Sheffield University and then travelled and taught this hybrid, liquid language of ours in various places around the world. It opened me up and others told me their stories too. I write poetics to feed these stories into my own.

What do I want to do when I grow up? I want to keep writing. Telling tall and wonder-filled tales of the stars down here that those in the sky only reflect. I want to do good things with words and actions. Write about things that matter.

People matter. We matter. We just need to remind ourselves of that. That's where the words come in.
